Series Overview
What if we used cooking to learn about the history and traditions of our food and our cultural differences?
What can my plate tell me about my family, my world, and my neighbors, and how does this inform my food choices?
In this TV series, we will explore the wonderful world of food through its unique and diverse frameworks of health, history, culture, fun facts, and storytelling!
Through this series, kids will join the conversation in the kitchen in order to understand the world through food and cooking! Kids’ Kitchen will showcase a positive, entertaining, and playful tone for each episode that inspires children to jump into the kitchen and learn about each topic. Each episode will feature an in-depth exploration of a food and a recipe that showcases that food.
Nothing Like This Exists! Who’s Our Audience?
This is a show created with children in mind, first and foremost! Kids’ Kitchen is intended for kids between the ages of 8 and 12 (or between 3rd grade and 6th grade).
Parents will also enjoy watching together with their kids.
The themes of the episodes will keep this show engaging enough for an adult audience, while the whimsical tone will be captivating for child viewers. And although this series is aimed at a young audience, Kids’ Kitchen is a show that families can watch together.
Kids’ Kitchen will not highlight cooking competitions or rare child chef prodigies, like many other cooking shows on TV. The focus will be on authentic culinary creations. Additionally, exploring multiple different cultural backgrounds is extremely important in order to engage with all types of culturally diverse viewers. This show will include simple ways to approach food that even adults will love and will highlight the important connection between our understanding of food and cooking and living healthy, meaningful, and connected lives.

About the Development of This Library of Food and Faith-Focused Work
I developed Plant Based Made Easy a live series in 2020 at the start of the global pandemic. This series was created to provide immediate resources to those in need of healthy transformation the day lockdown began and the day I vowed to go plant-based. This was designed to promote my 12-issue companion cookbook series Plant Based Made Easy - to engage viewers not just to watch, but more so to transform and transition veganism with me guiding you along the way.
Before I went vegan in 2020, I had been in show development for fifteen years producing various content on TV, online, and live events, interviews, and shows for Disney, PBS, and NBC, CBS. Here’s a clip of me with Harry Connick Jr on his show before my vegan awakening.
I developed this for Hawaii News Now - NBC/CBS affiliate in Honolulu. I enjoy growing relationships with sponsors to produce this digital series that can be distributed anywhere in the world through sponsors who want healthy marketing and promotion for brands and inspiring segments about human interest stories and things that matter most in our world today and for our collective future. I’m looking to partner with individuals, organizations, celebrities, authors, and thought leaders who want to be featured.
My Choice Kitchen was the interactive YouTube series I created and produced for kids and families right before the pandemic.
Family Time at Disney's Food and Wine was the LIVE interactive show I wrote, produced, and hosted for the Walt Disney Company at Disney California Adventure Park. These shows were mentioned in more than 60 publications.
Delicious Discoveries with Daniella Malfitano was my first show, for PBS in California, inspired by my self-designed university-approved food and culture studies at DePaul University.
